Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of RetryPilot ("the Service"), operated from New Zealand. By creating an account, you agree to these terms. RetryPilot is an early-stage product offered as-is — please reach out with questions before relying on it for anything critical.
The Service
RetryPilot monitors failed payment events on a Stripe account you connect, and sends automated recovery emails to the affected customers on your behalf. You provide a Stripe restricted API key and webhook secret; RetryPilot never has the ability to move money, refund charges, or change your Stripe account settings — read access to invoices/customers and webhook delivery are all it needs.
Your responsibilities
- Keep your account credentials secure.
- Only connect Stripe accounts you own or are authorized to manage.
- Use a restricted (not full-access) Stripe API key, as instructed in Settings.
- Ensure the recovery emails sent to your customers comply with applicable anti-spam laws in your jurisdiction (e.g. only used for transactional billing follow-ups, which RetryPilot is designed for).
Billing
Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. New accounts get a 14-day free trial; no card is required to start the trial. You can cancel at any time from your account — cancellation stops future billing but doesn't refund the current period.
No liability for outcomes
RetryPilot helps recover failed payments but cannot guarantee any customer will update their payment method or that any specific amount will be recovered. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, RetryPilot is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the Service, violate these terms, or connect Stripe accounts they're not authorized to access.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated by email to active accounts.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
